What kind of shipping method do you use?
All orders are shipped using USPS. We’ve found it to be the fastest, most reliable courier for domestic shipping.
How long will it take for my package to arrive?
Orders are shipped daily – from the time of shipment, priority packages typically arrive 1 to 3 business days later. These are the shipping options currently available (flat rate, same prices for bulk):

What do I do if my order never arrives?
Please use the contact form to alert us of your missing shipment so we can track it down. Any orders that are lost or damaged will be replaced immediately. If your order arrives outside of USPS’s normal shipping window, we will provide a discount coupon to make up for the wait.
Do you ship anywhere outside of the USA?
Unfortunately, due to the varying legal status of Kratom in other countries, we currently only ship domestically. We hope to expand in the future.
Can I request an alternate shipping courier?
If you have special order requests, such as large quantities and courier preferences, please get in touch with us using the contact form beforeyou place your order.
What is an eCheck?
An eCheck is very similar to a credit process, except it communicates directly with your checking account – just like a traditional check.
How long does it take for an eCheck to clear?
The standard window for clearance is 24 to 48 hours. However, they typically clear on the same day the payment is made. In other words, quickly!
Can I use my credit card to purchase?
Currently, we do not work with a credit card processor, but this may change in the near future. PayPal is an option for orders processed outside of the web store (direct or special orders).
Do I have to wait for my payment to clear before the item ships?
Yes – but since our clearance times and shipping times are so fast, you’ll probably never notice.
Do you store my payment information?
No – all payment information is deleted after processing. We have a flawless track record when it comes to our customers data security, and we intend to keep it that way.
What is Kratom?
Kratom is a tropical evergreen tree found in Southeast Asia. It can grow up to 25 meters (82ft) tall and bears no fruit – its leaves are harvested for their medicinal uses. The kratom tree (Species: Mitragyna specios) is closely related to the plants your morning coffee was harvested from (Family: Rubiaceae).
What are the effects of Kratom?
Kratom is, first and foremost, not approved by the FDA. Any claims regarding its effects on disease, symptoms of disease, or medicinal properties are unsubstantiated. That being said, there are a number of anecdotal claims by Kratom users who perceived a change in their state of being, as well as changes in diagnosed conditions. Some of these anecdotal experiences revolve around the following subjects:
- Kratom is revered for its ability to provide both stimulant and opiate-like effects in users.
- It has become a popular for recreational use.
- Kratom is distinct from typical scheduled drugs in that, in recommended dosages, it has numerous positive features.
- Kratom users have reported improvement in various aspects of their daily lives – some of these unsubstantiated claims make specific mention of anxiety, productiveness, pain, appetite, addiction, and much more.*

How should Kratom be consumed?
The most common methods of consumption of Kratom are in the form of a tea, a concentrated extract, a simple water mixture, and in capsules. All of these methods begin with a ground / powdered leaf product, which is what you will find for sale here on Ancient City Alchemy.
Is there a way to properly dose Kratom?
While there is no official number we can recommend due to varied user preferences and tolerance, many users have found Erowid’s dosage chart for high quality powdered leaf product to be an accurate tool for proper dosage:
Powdered Leaf Kratom Dosage
Threshold: 1-2 grams
Light: 2-4 grams
Common: 3-5 grams
Strong: 4-8 grams
Is Kratom dangerous? Does it have any negative effects?
The FDA states that there are no approved uses for, and discourage the consumption of Kratom.
There have been a few case reports of adverse effects that you can read about here. It is recommended that you do not consume Kratom and alcohol together.
While Kratom is claimed to help ween users off of strong opiates and prescription opioids, it does have some tolerance-building properties of its own. Kratom’s dependence and withdrawal symptoms are reported as being extremely mild in comparison to prescription opiates/opioids. Many users take regular breaks to avoid physical dependence. In spite of this, Kratom has a remarkable safety record compared to many of the medicinal substances it is used to replace.
Who can benefit from Kratom use?

Due to the aforementioned, Kratom’s effects have been compared to morphine and various other opiate/opioid prescription drugs. Many users note that its effects are more conducive to a productive lifestyle. Some anecdotes credit the plant with the safe reduction and cessation of opiates/opioids by many formerly dependent users. Is Kratom legal?
On a national level (USA), there have been no federal regulations regarding Kratom’s status as a controlled substance. That being said, there are numerous states who have taken it upon themselves to regulate its sale and use. We recommend checking with your state’s legislative council before consuming Kratom.
There is a significant user base who promote and campaign for Kratom to remain an unscheduled, unregulated substance. This is due to its remarkable effectiveness in the treatment of various medical conditions. The American Kratom Association is currently the largest organized proponent for Kratom’s legal usage in the United States.

Indeed it is! However, we require that bulk orders be made via email. You can reach us directly by using our contact page and selecting the Bulk Orders inquiry subject. Please send us your quantity needs and we can provide you with pricing and shipping information.
Do you store customer information?
We do not store customer information outside of data that is manually opted for. We regularly delete order data and any identifying visitor data to ensure your privacy is maintained. If you create an account and/or opt in to our newsletter, your email and data you’ve volunteered to store is kept in a single database accessed only by your account and will never be sold to outside parties.
You are free to opt out and delete your data at any time.
